The Africa Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety (ACEMFS) was established from a World Bank grant/loan to Nigerian Government. The Centre is to be managed by the Association of African Universities (AAU) and the National Universities Commission (NUC) on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education. The Centre is hosted by the Federal University of Technology, Minna and all new programs are to be domicile in Department of Biochemistry. The Centre has the mandate of teaching, training and research to cover the areas of postgraduate studies in Food Safety, Toxicology, and Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics.
