Chiemela Enyinnaya Chinma is a Professor of Food Science and Technology, Deputy Director of Directorate for Research, Innovation and Development at Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria. His research interest is in Food Processing and Product Development, and Food Chemistry. I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at BERNAS Research Laboratory, Faculty of Food Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
I have taught many Food Science and Technology courses. Have supervised and graduated over one hundred and sixty four B-Tech, two M-Tech students and three PhDs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have been involved in various projects funded by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Nestlé Nigeria Plc, West African Milk Company (WAMCO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND). I have won National and International Research grants.
I have 67 publications in peer review journals and books. An Associate Editor of Nigerian Food Journal (the official academic publication of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology) and Managing Editor of Journal of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology. A member of Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST), Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), Institute of Food Technology (IFT) and American Society of Microbiology.
