Professor Abdulkareem Ambali Saka attended Ansarul Islam Primary School 1977-1983. He attended Government Secondary School, Ilorin between the years 1983-1989. Professor Abdulkareem furthers his study at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, where he obtained B.Eng. and M.Eng in Chemical Engineering in 1997 and 2000 respectively. He was employed in, 1999 at the same University as an Assistant Lecturer. He then proceeded to the University of Witwatersrand where he obtained PhD in Chemical Engineering in the area of Application of Nanotechnology for Fuel cell Development in 2010. His research interests are in the area of synthesis and applications of nanoparticles for industrial wastewater treatment, alternative energy development and nano medicine.
Professor Abdulkareem Ambali Saka has won many international and local research grants. He has supervised and co-supervised more than 10 PhD candidates and 15 Master candidates to completion in the area of synthesis and applications of nanoparticles. He is presently the Head of Nanotechnology Research Group of Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. He was rated Y2 researcher by NRF South Africa in the year 2012. He is a member of the following professional bodies: the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (MO 913), the Nigerian Society of Engineers (10980), Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (9593). His research interet is in the development of nano binders feed binders, nano sensor for food safety, and nanoadsorbents and Nano filter for Irrigation water treatment. He is presently the Nanotechnology research theme leader for Africa Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxins and Food Safety, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria
