Dr Temitope Mercy Bankole

Mrs1A staff of Chemistry Department, School of Physical Sciences, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. She has her PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry, Nanotechnology related from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. She lectures on industrial chemical processes/technology, applied surface and colloid chemistry, petrochemistry, nanoscience and nanotechnology. She is a member of the FUTMINNA Nano group, a section of the Centre of Excellence in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, of the University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. The group has attracted both Institutional and National grant to the University.

Her area of research focus are in the production of novelty typed carbon nanotubes and composites for water treatment/environmental remediation, solar and fuel cell production; synthesis and application of gold nanoparticle for food safety sensoring and drug delivery; and application of silver nanoparticle as an efficient antibacterial in some pharmaceutical wastewater and as feed binders. She is a member of the team that won a National Research Fund and many Institutional Based Research Fund from TETFund to the University. She is also part of the team that won 3rd Prize Award for Research and Development in Life Science at the 6th Nigerian Universities Research and Development Fair NURESDEF, 2016.

She is presently the monitoring and evaluation officer for Africa Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxins and Food Safety, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. She has supervised and co-supervised postgraduate students. She has also published so many research papers including conference proceedings and has supervised both undergraduate and post graduate students.
