Born on 01/5/1969. Obtained a B.Sc degree in Biochemistry in 1991, M.Sc Applied Chemistry in 1999 and PhD in Biochemistry in 2009. My area of specialty is in Toxicology with emphasis on heavy metal toxicity of aquatic animals, the aquatic environment and toxicological studies of medicinal plants. I have taught a lot of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels particularly courses related to my area of specialty (Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Biochemistry etc). I have supervised many research projects related to toxicology both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Many departmental responsibilities were assigned to me since I joined the services of FUT Minna, Nigeria.
I was the immediate past Deputy Dean of School of Life Sciences where I shouldered the responsibility of all postgraduate programs in the School. I have participated in many national and international conferences and have thirty five publications in peer review journals. I won a research grant for our PhD student doing a research in Psychoactive Substances and have reviewed manuscripts for Journal of Advances in Medicine and Medical Research, and Asian Journal of Research in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. I am currently the Deputy Researcher of the Food and Toxicology Research Group and Deputy Centre Leader of the Africa Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety domicile in Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria. I am a member of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB), Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN) and the International Society of Applied and Life Sciences (ISALS). I am married with five children.
